GPR survey of Ulan-Ude (Mukhino) runaways operating condition

The survey was aimed to determine the structural layers thickness and to discover structural abnormal areas of underlying soils.

GPR OKO-2 with three antenna units were used for the survey:

• •AB-1700 – is used for close investigation of the paved surface upper layer and determination of reinforcement and its spacing.
• •AB-1200 – features lower resolution, however allows to determine the pavement structure till the natural bed.
• •AB-400 – is used to study bottom soils.

Interpretation of radargrams obtained by different antenna units

Multiple decompression zones were detected during survey. Such zones appeared, probably, due to the concrete plates manufacturing technique violation.
